Shows testing leather to International Standard ISO 23910 - stitch tear resistance.  A special fixture and a pneumatic grip are used with the MultiTest 2.5-i

Leather is tested to International Standard ISO 3376 for tensile strength.  Percentage elongation at a specified load or at break are also determined.

Special fixtures are used to test leather to International Standard ISO 3377-2 with the MultiTest 2.5-i.

Test-to-failure (TTF) testing of embellishments, buttons, ribbons, sequins, diamante etc. that have been attached to textiles is conducted to check that they have been safely affixed so they will not become choking hazards for infants. Mecmesin's test systems and force gauges are used to measure the force needed to pull the embellishments off from the textiles (TTF) to ensure they comply with BS 7907:2007.
